Barry R. Edwards served as Chief Executive Officer of Impax Laboratories, Inc. from January 2004 to October 2006, and was a Director from January 1999 to October 2006. He was also Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Company from December 14, 1999 to January 1, 2004. From August 1998 until January 1999, Mr. Edwards served as President of the Company and from January 1999 until December 1999, Mr. Edwards served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Edwards was Vice President, Marketing and Business Development for Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, one of the largest generic drug companies. From 1991 to 1996, Mr. Edwards served as Executive Director of Gate Pharmaceuticals, a brand marketing division of Teva Pharmaceuticals USA. Prior to 1991, Mr. Edwards held a number of management functions in strategic planning, corporate development, business development and marketing at Teva Pharmaceuticals USA. Mr. Edwards was fortunate enough begin his career by working for Harris Hollin at the Lemmon Company, which had been a small regional company that Hollin transformed into a dynamic mainstream pharmaceutical company with national and international reach.

Ms. Pendergast was deputy commissioner and senior advisor to the Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, Department of Health and Human Services from 1990 to 1998. After 16 years in senior posts with the FDA, Ms. Pendergast served as executive vice president, government affairs for Elan Corporation from 1998 to December 2003.  Since September 2003, Ms. Pendergast has been president of Pendergast Consulting.  Ms. Pendergast received her LL.M. from Yale Law School in 1977, her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1976 and her B.A. from Northwestern University in 1972.
